In the 2nd Semi-Final of Duleep Trophy 2025 at Bengaluru, West Zone batted first and scored 438 runs in 108 overs, but Central Zone responded with a mammoth 556/8 in 157 overs to take a lead of 118 runs.

Central Zone had a run rate of 3.54 at stumps on Day 3. West Zone won the toss and elected to bat first, but Central batsmen devastated their bowling attack!
In West Zone’s innings, Ruturaj Gaikwad played a blistering innings of 184 runs, which included 25 fours and 1 six in 206 balls. Tanush Kotian scored 76, captain Shardul Thakur scored 64, and Aryan Desai scored 39. Shreyas Iyer scored 25, Shams Mulani scored 18, and Tushar Deshpande added 18 runs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (4), Harvik Desai (1), and Dharmendrasinh Jadeja (1) were dismissed early. Arjan Nagwaswala was dismissed after scoring 3 runs. 5 runs were scored in extras. Among the bowlers of Central, Saransh Jain and Harsh Dubey took 3-3 wickets, Khaleel Ahmed took 2, and Deepak Chahar took 1 wicket.

In the batting of Central Zone, Shubham Sharma played a brilliant innings of 96 runs. Upendra Yadav scored 87, Harsh Dubey scored 75, and captain Rajat Patidar scored 77 runs. Danish Malevar scored 76 and Ayush Pandey added 40 runs. Saransh Jain is unbeaten on 37 and Deepak Chahar on 33.
Yash Thakur scored 4 runs. 29 runs came in extras, of which 16 were byes. Among the bowlers of West, Dharmendrasinh Jadeja took 4 wickets, Arjan Nagwaswala, Shams Mulani, and Tanush Kotian took 1-1 wickets. Shardul Thakur and Tushar Deshpande did not get any wicket.
Talking about wickets, Ayush Pandey was out on 67, Danish Malewar on 160, Rajat Patidar on 287, Yash Rathod on 299, Shubham Sharma on 322, Harsh Dubey on 456, Upendra Yadav on 495, and Deepak Chahar on 546. Central’s batting put West on the backfoot.
