Ahead of the start of IPL 2025, Cricket King Virat Kohli has spoken his heart out to the fans. Kohli, who is preparing for his 18th season at Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), said that now he plays only and only for the love of cricket.

After winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai last week, many felt that Virat might be thinking of retiring from international cricket. But the run machine has put an end to these rumors and made it clear that he is not going anywhere.
During an RCB event in Bengaluru, Virat said, “I am no longer playing for achievements. I am just playing for the joy of the game.”
He has made this clear at this point of his career when he is at the last stage of his career.
Many cricket experts believe that if Kohli maintains his excellent form, he can also be a part of Team India in the ODI World Cup to be held in South Africa in 2027. There is no question about his fitness!
Virat Kohli told why he stays away from social media?
Virat, who has more than 270 million followers on Instagram and 66.1 million followers on Twitter, made a shocking revelation.
He said, “I do not post much on social media because technology without a goal is destructive. Posting on social media does not change anything in my life.”
Fans often expect him to post on big occasions like the Champions Trophy 2025 victory, but Virat’s posts are mostly limited to brand promotions. HSBC on March 10, a snack brand on March 11 and an energy drink on March 12 – all these promotions have disappointed fans.
But Kohli says, “People’s comments do not affect me, so I do not need to post.”
He has posted very few posts on social media since sharing his Yo-Yo score in 2023, due to which he was also reprimanded by the BCCI.
Now all eyes are on IPL 2025, where RCB will play its first match against KKR in Kolkata on March 22.
