India achieved their first-ever Test win at Edgbaston Cricket Ground. IND vs ENG 2nd Test ended with India beating England easily. They won by 336 runs in this historic match.

This victory was very special because India had never won here before. They had tried eight times earlier but failed every time. The ninth attempt finally brought them success and joy.
Akash Deep bowled brilliantly and took 10 wickets in the match. He got 6 wickets for 99 runs in England’s second innings. This was his best bowling performance in Test cricket so far.
Captain Shubman Gill scored 269 runs in the first innings and 161 runs in the second innings. No Indian captain had ever scored so many runs before. His batting helped India get a huge total of 587 runs.

India’s Strong Batting Performance
India’s first innings total reached 587 runs with excellent batting from everyone. Jadeja scored 89 runs and missed his century by just 11 runs. Jaiswal also batted well and made 87 runs for the team.
England replied with 407 runs in their first innings against India. Jamie Smith scored 184 runs and played the best innings for England. Harry Brook also helped with 158 runs in their batting effort.
The IND vs ENG 2nd Test saw India declare at 427/6 runs. This set England a target of 608 runs to win. Such a high target was almost impossible to chase down.
Final Day Victory
Rain delayed the start of play on Day 5 by 100 minutes. But India still managed to win the match before the day ended. The weather could not stop India’s march towards victory.
England started the final day at 72/3. They needed 536 more runs to win this difficult match. Akash Deep quickly removed Ollie Pope and Harry Brook early morning.
