Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Avesh Khan won everyone’s heart with a stellar performance against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2025.

In this exciting match held on 19 April at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Avesh gave only 6 runs in the last over and saved 9 runs to give his team a 2-run win. His brilliant performance is being praised everywhere.
Avesh took 3 big wickets for 37 runs in 4 overs in this match. He sent Rajasthan captain Riyan Parag (39 runs) and dashing Yashasvi Jaiswal (74 runs) to the pavilion.
In the last over, when 9 runs were to be saved, Avesh turned the match by dismissing Shimron Hetmyer. His accurate yorker and cool mindset forced the fans to dance.
After the match, Avesh said,
“I don’t want to be Mitchell Starc I don’t want to be a bowler, I want to be a good Avesh Khan. I always try to back every ball and bowl yorkers, which is my strength. I always feel it is better to take 10 extra seconds to bowl; it will help me perform better. I never bowl looking at the scoreboard. I just focus on my execution.”
David Miller dropped an easy catch of Shubham Dubey on the second last ball of the match. Avesh laughed and said,
“I thought, Miller will catch it for sure! But when the catch was missed, it came to my mind that how to save 4 runs now.”
Still, Avesh did not lose courage and ensured victory by bowling a yorker on the last ball.
