    India’s 2026 T20I Squad was finally announced on June 6th. Shreyas Iyer is the new captain. He replaces World Cup-winning captain Suryakumar Yadav. Big change for Indian cricket.

    BCCI is focusing on building for 2028. Not dwelling on the recent past. Shreyas gets his opportunity finally to lead India in T20 cricket. The middle-order role suits him. Balancing captain and batsman duties.
