    Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 58 runs in the 23rd match of IPL 2025 played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

    Gujarat batted first and scored 217/6, in response to which Rajasthan’s team collapsed for 159 runs in 19.2 overs.

    1st innings: Gujarat Titans score 217/6 (20 overs)

    Gujarat Titans got off to a slow start and captain Shubman Gill (2) was dismissed early. After this, Sai Sudarshan (82) along with Jos Buttler (36) handled the innings.

    Shahrukh Khan (36) and Rahul Tewatia (24*) batted fast in the middle and final overs. Sudarshan’s innings of 82 runs in 53 balls took the team to a strong score.

    For Rajasthan, Mahesh Teekshna (2/54) and Tushar Deshpande (2/53) took wickets, but failed to create pressure in bowling.

    2nd innings: Rajasthan Royals in 19.2 overs 159/10

    Rajasthan Royals had a bad start while chasing the target. Yashasvi Jaiswal (6) and Nitish Rana (1) were out early. Sanju Samson (41) and Riyan Parag (26) handled the innings for some time, but the team went on the backfoot due to continuous fall of wickets.

    Shimron Hetmyer (52) fought alone, but he could not take the team to victory.

    For Gujarat, Prasidh Krishna (3/24) and Sai Kishore (2/20) bowled brilliantly and defeated Rajasthan by 58 runs.

    Decisive moment of the match:

    The decisive moment of the match came in the 15th over of the second innings when Prasidh Krishna had Sanju Samson (41) caught by Sai Kishore and then in the next over he had to bowl 4 overs. He dismissed Shimron Hetmyer (52) off the same ball to reduce Rajasthan to 145/8.

    Sai Kishore then dismissed Tushar Deshpande (3) and Mahesh Teekshna (5) in successive balls in the 19th over to restrict Rajasthan to 159, giving Gujarat a comfortable 58-run win.
