In the 25th match of IPL 2025 played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 8 wickets.
Batting first, Chennai scored a very low score of 103/9, which Kolkata achieved by losing 2 wickets in just 10.1 overs.

After the dismissal of both, Ajinkya Rahane (19) and Rinku Singh (2) achieved the target without any trouble in 10.1 overs.

Defining moment of the match:
The decisive moment of the match came in the 15th over of the first innings when Sunil Narine dismissed MS Dhoni (1) LBW, after which Chennai’s innings completely fell apart. Earlier, Narine had also dismissed Rahul Tripathi (16) and Ravindra Jadeja (0) to reduce Chennai to 75/8.
In the second innings, Kolkata adopted an aggressive approach from the beginning and Sunil Narine’s stormy batting did not give Chennai any chance. Kolkata won a spectacular victory by 8 wickets in 10.1 overs.
