In the 11th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, a thrilling clash was seen between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings.
Rajasthan’s acting captain Riyan Parag was in great form and was close to half-century, but two deadly balls of Mathisha Pathirana ended his innings.
First hurt, then stumps uprooted
On the fourth ball of the 18th over, Pathirana bowled a fast shortish ball, which hit Riyan Parag’s elbow directly.
The ball was so fast that Parag groaned in pain and immediately left the bat. The physio came, gave him treatment, but its effect was seen on his concentration.
After this, Pathirana bowled a great yorker on the very next ball, which hit the off stump directly and Parag was clean bowled. After this wicket, CSK players celebrated fiercely, while there was disappointment in the Rajasthan camp.
Big setback for Rajasthan
Riyan Parag was out after scoring 47 runs, which made it difficult for Rajasthan to reach a strong score.
Now the big question is whether his injury is serious and whether he will be fit for the next match or not.
IPL 2025: RR vs CSK Match Update
Rajasthan Royals posted a respectable score of 182/9 against Chennai Super Kings in the 11th match of IPL 2025. Nitish Rana played a stormy innings of 81 runs, while Riyan Parag added 37 runs.
In bowling, Noor Ahmed and Mathisha Pathirana took 2-2 wickets for Chennai. Now it will be interesting to see how CSK chases this target.
