    In the 11th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 6 runs to register a thrilling win.

    In this match played at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, Rajasthan batted first and scored 182/9, in response to which Chennai could only reach 176/6.

    First innings: Nitish Rana’s explosive half-century helped Rajasthan score 182 runs

    Rajasthan Royals got off to a slow start. Yashasvi Jaiswal (4) was out in the very first over. However, after this Nitish Rana batted explosively and scored 81 runs and put the team in a strong position. Captain Riyan Parag (37) also contributed well.

    • Mathisha Pathirana: 4 overs, 28 runs, 2 wickets
    • Syed Khaleel Ahmed: 4 overs, 38 runs, 2 wickets

    Second innings: Hasaranga’s lethal spell shatters Chennai’s hopes

    Chennai Super Kings got off to a bad start when Rachin Ravindra (0) was dismissed in the very first over. However, Rituraj Gaikwad (63) held one end, but Wanindu Hasaranga’s brilliant bowling stopped the Chennai batsmen.

    MS Dhoni (16) and Ravindra Jadeja (32*) fought in the final overs but could not reach the victory.

    CSK’s top scorers:

    • Ruturaj Gaikwad: 63 runs (44 balls, 7 fours, 1 six)
    • Ravindra Jadeja: 32* runs (22 balls, 2 fours, 1 six)
    • Rahul Tripathi: 23 runs (19 balls, 3 fours, 1 six)

    RR’s best bowlers:

    • Wanindu Hasaranga: 4 overs, 35 runs, 4 wickets
    • Jofra Archer: 3 overs, 13 runs, 1 wicket
    • Sandeep Sharma: 4 overs, 42 runs, 1 wicket

    Decisive turning point of the match:

    The decisive moment of the match came in the 16th over, when Wanindu Hasaranga dismissed Rituraj Gaikwad and ended CSK’s last big hope. After this, Rajasthan stopped Chennai from reaching the target with tight bowling.

    With this win, Rajasthan Royals took a significant lead in the points table, while Chennai will need to work on their batting again.
