    Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 59 runs in the 63rd match of IPL 2025 played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

    MI won by 59 runs over DC

    Mumbai Indians batted first and scored 180/5 in 20 overs, in response to which Delhi Capitals were reduced to 121/10 in 18.2 overs.

    Stellar performances from Suryakumar Yadav (73*), Mitchell Santner (3/11), and Jasprit Bumrah (3/12) played a key role in Mumbai’s victory.

    1st innings: Mumbai Indians 180/5 (20 overs)

    Mumbai had a normal start, with Rohit Sharma (5 runs, 5 balls) and Ryan Rickelton (25 runs, 18 balls) getting out early. Will Jacks (21 runs, 13 balls) scored runs quickly, but he too returned to the pavilion cheaply.

    Suryakumar Yadav (73* runs, 43 balls) and Naman Dheer (24* runs, 8 balls) added an unbeaten 57-run partnership for the sixth wicket to take the score to 180.

    Mukesh Kumar (2/48), Kuldeep Yadav (1/22), and Mustafizur Rahman (1/30) took wickets for Delhi.

    The decisive moment of the match came in the 15th over, when Mitchell Santner Sameer Rizvi (39) and Ashutosh Sharma (18) were dismissed on consecutive balls to reduce Delhi to 104/7.

    This double blow completely shattered the Delhi batting, and Jasprit Bumrah took the last wicket to give Mumbai a comfortable 59-run win.
