The IPL 2026 clash played between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala proved to be an absolute run-fest.

Batting first, Punjab piled up a massive 210 runs in their allotted 20 overs; however, Delhi responded with a blistering batting display of their own, chasing down the target in just 19 overs.
In a match that went down to the very last over, Delhi Capitals secured a victory by 3 wickets.
Shreyas Iyer and Priyansh Arya Steal the Show
Punjab Kings got off to a flying start. Priyansh Arya smashed 56 runs off just 33 balls, an innings that included 6 towering sixes.
Captain Shreyas Iyer also batted magnificently, scoring an unbeaten 59 runs off 36 deliveries.
Cooper Connolly made a crucial contribution by scoring 38 runs, helping to propel the team to a formidable total.
For Delhi, Mukesh Kumar and Madhav Tiwari claimed two wickets each, while the rest of the bowlers proved to be quite expensive.
By accelerating their scoring in the final overs, Punjab posted a massive total of 210/5.
Chasing the target, Delhi got off to a poor start; KL Rahul and Abhishek Porel were dismissed early on.
However, Captain Axar Patel completely turned the tide of the match. He brought his team right back into the contest by scoring 56 runs off just 30 balls.
David Miller and Madhav Tiwari Finish the Match
After Axar Patel’s dismissal, David Miller batted with aggressive intent. Miller scored 51 runs off 28 balls, hitting big shots that put immense pressure on the Punjab bowlers.
Towards the end, Ashutosh Sharma played a brisk cameo, scoring 24 runs off just 10 balls.
The most dramatic moment of the match arrived in the final overs, when young batsman Madhav Tiwari secured the victory for Delhi by scoring 18 runs off just 8 balls.
Joining him at the crease, Auqib Nabi Dar finished off the match in style by smashing 10 runs off just 2 deliveries. Delhi Capitals won the match by scoring 216/7 in 19 overs.
With this victory, Delhi further consolidated their position on the points table, while Punjab Kings suffered a defeat despite posting a high score.
