In an IPL 2026 match played at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, the Delhi Capitals defeated the Rajasthan Royals by 5 wickets.

Batting first, Rajasthan posted a total of 193 runs in 20 overs; however, Delhi successfully chased down the target in just 19.2 overs.
The match witnessed a flurry of fours and sixes, remaining a thrilling contest right up until the final overs.
Rajasthan Batsmen Post a Massive Total
The Rajasthan Royals got off to a blistering start. Young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed 46 runs off just 21 deliveries.
Following this, Captain Riyan Parag played an explosive innings, scoring 51 runs off 26 balls. Dhruv Jurel also contributed significantly, scoring 53 runs to propel the team to a formidable total.
However, Delhi’s bowlers staged a comeback in the final overs. Mitchell Starc delivered a brilliant bowling performance, claiming 4 wickets.
Lungi Ngidi and Madhav Tiwari also chipped in with 2 wickets each, helping to slightly curb Rajasthan’s scoring rate.

During the middle overs, Rajasthan attempted to make a comeback in the match by taking a few wickets. Jofra Archer claimed 2 wickets, while Brijesh Sharma also dismissed 2 batsmen.
However, Delhi’s captain, Axar Patel, brought his team close to victory by scoring 34 runs off 18 balls.
Ultimately, Ashutosh Sharma sealed the match by smashing 18 runs off just 5 deliveries.
He struck two massive sixes to guide Delhi to victory with 4 balls to spare. The Delhi team finished with a total of 197 runs, clinching the match in their favor.
