In The 42 Match of IPL 2026 witnessed thrilling action at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Where the Gujarat Titans (GT) secured a magnificent victory by defeating the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 4 wickets.
Batting first, RCB posted a total of 155 runs; however, GT chased down this target in just 15.5 overs.
RCB Gets Off to a Flying Start, But Middle Order Collapses
Virat Kohli provided a blistering start for RCB, smashing 28 runs off just 13 deliveries.
Meanwhile, Devdutt Padikkal played a crucial innings, contributing 40 runs. However, the team’s middle order crumbled completely.
Captain Rajat Patidar could only manage 19 runs, and the remaining batsmen failed to stay at the crease for long.
In the bowling department, Rashid Khan displayed exceptional control, claiming 2 wickets, while Arshad Khan bagged 3 wickets. Jason Holder also proved instrumental, picking up 2 wickets.
RCB Blown Away by the Gill-Buttler Storm
Chasing a target of 156 runs, GT got off to a blistering start. Captain Shubman Gill quickly turned the tide of the match in his team’s favor by scoring 43 runs off just 18 balls.
Partnering with him, Jos Buttler also wreaked havoc on the RCB bowlers, smashing 39 runs off 19 deliveries.
Although Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled brilliantly to claim 3 wickets—triggering a brief comeback for his side—it was a case of too little, too late. Later, Rahul Tewatia scored an unbeaten 27 runs to guide his team comfortably to victory.
GT clinched the match by reaching 158/6 in 15.5 overs.
With this win, the Gujarat Titans have further consolidated their position on the points table, while RCB has been dealt yet another defeat.
