The 38th match of IPL 2026, held at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium, delivered a level of excitement that fans will remember for a long time to come.

Both the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) scored 155 runs in their allotted 20 overs, sending the match into a Super Over.
In the Super Over, KKR emerged victorious, clinching the win.
Rinku Singh’s Magnificent Innings Saves KKR’s Blushes
KKR got off to a disastrous start, losing wickets in quick succession. Captain Ajinkya Rahane and Tim Seifert were dismissed cheaply.
Stepping up during this critical juncture, Rinku Singh shouldered the responsibility and played an unbeaten innings of 83 runs off 51 balls. His innings featured 7 fours and 5 sixes.
On the other side, Mohsin Khan delivered a brilliant bowling performance for LSG, taking 5 wickets for just 23 runs in his 4 overs.
His bowling stifled KKR’s progress, preventing them from posting a massive total. KKR ultimately finished with a score of 155/7 in their 20 overs.
In reply, the LSG team also managed to score exactly 155 runs. Captain Rishabh Pant scored 42 runs, while Aiden Markram contributed 31 runs.
The match reached a nail-biting climax in the final overs, but LSG could only reach 155/8, resulting in a tie.
Sunil Narine Shines in the Super Over; Rinku Finishes the Job
LSG endured a disastrous outing in the Super Over. Sunil Narine bowled magnificently, taking 2 wickets in just 3 deliveries to restrict LSG to a score of 1/2. The batsmen were completely bamboozled and crumbled under the pressure.
KKR required just 2 runs to win. Rinku Singh walked out to the crease and sealed the match by smashing a four off the very first ball.
Thus, KKR secured an easy victory, finishing with a score of 4/0. In this match, both Rinku Singh and Sunil Narine emerged as the heroes of KKR’s victory.
On one hand, Rinku steadied the team during a difficult situation; On the other hand, Narayan completely turned the match in KKR’s favour in the super over.
