In The 57th IPL 2026 Match, Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets, powered by a magnificent batting performance.

Played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, the match was dominated by the towering presence of Virat Kohli, who single-handedly turned the tide of the game by smashing an unbeaten 105 runs.
Batting first, KKR posted a total of 192 runs in their allotted 20 overs; however, RCB successfully chased down the target in just 19.1 overs.
Raghuvanshi And Rinku Gave KKR A Fighting Total
KKR did not get off to a particularly strong start, as Finn Allen and captain Ajinkya Rahane were dismissed early on.
Subsequently, young batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi displayed immense maturity and responsibility, scoring 71 runs off 46 balls.
His innings featured 7 fours and 3 sixes. Towards the end of the innings, Rinku Singh provided a late surge with some aggressive batting, smashing an unbeaten 49 runs off just 29 deliveries.
For RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, and Rasikh Dar Salam each claimed one wicket.
Although Kartik Tyagi managed to contain the batsmen later in the innings, by that time, KKR had already posted a formidable total.
Chasing a target of 193 runs, RCB suffered an early setback with the loss of Jacob Bethell’s wicket; however, Virat Kohli subsequently took complete control of the match.
He forged a magnificent partnership with Devdutt Padikkal, who contributed 39 runs off 27 balls, steering the team into a commanding position.
Kohli’s Century Seals Massive Win For RCB
In this contest, Virat Kohli showcased a perfect blend of both class and aggression.
He scored an unbeaten 105 runs off just 60 balls, an innings studded with 11 fours and 3 towering sixes.
He maintained an impressive strike rate of 175. Throughout the match, the KKR bowlers were unable to exert any significant pressure on him.
In the end, Jitesh Sharma scored some quick runs to seal the victory, as RCB won the match with 5 balls to spare.
While Kartik Tyagi certainly took 3 wickets for KKR, the rest of the bowlers proved to be quite expensive. With this victory, RCB has further strengthened its position on the points table.
