In Match No. 22 of IPL 2026, Chennai Super Kings registered a magnificent victory by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by 32 runs.

Played at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, this contest saw CSK bat first and post a total of 192 runs; in response, the KKR team could only manage to score 160 runs.
CSK’s Strong Total: A Stellar Batting Performance
CSK’s start was not particularly impressive, as captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed early.
However, Sanju Samson subsequently played a crucial innings of 48 runs. Meanwhile, Ayush Mhatre scored a brisk 38 runs, maintaining a strike rate of 223.53.
Dewald Brevis also contributed an innings of 41 runs, steering the team into a commanding position. Towards the end, Shivam Dube and Jamie Overton added valuable, albeit brief, contributions to push the team’s total to 192/5.
For KKR, Kartik Tyagi claimed 2 wickets, while Sunil Narine and Anukul Roy secured one wicket each.
Noor Ahmad’s Brilliance: KKR’s Batting Collapse
Setting out to chase the target of 192 runs, KKR endured an abysmal start.
Finn Allen was dismissed early, and the team continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. Captain Ajinkya Rahane scored 28 runs, but he was unable to anchor the innings effectively.
Ramandeep Singh (35 runs) and Rovman Powell (31 runs) certainly put up a fight, but they could not guide the team to victory.
CSK bowler Noor Ahmad delivered a magnificent spell, taking 3 wickets for just 21 runs in 4 overs, and emerged as the ‘Hero of the Match.’
Anshul Kamboj also claimed 2 wickets, playing a pivotal role in the team’s triumph.
Ultimately, the KKR team could only muster 160/7 in their allotted 20 overs, suffering a defeat by a margin of 32 runs.
