    In Match 23 of IPL 2026, Royal Challengers Bengaluru registered a magnificent victory by defeating the Lucknow Super Giants by 5 wickets.

    Played at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB successfully chased down a target of 147 runs in just 15.1 overs.

    LSG’s Innings Falters; Middle Order Collapses

    Batting first, the LSG team was bowled out for 146 runs. The team got off to a decent start, with Mitchell Marsh scoring 40 runs and Ayush Badoni playing a brisk innings of 38 runs.

    However, Captain Rishabh Pant was dismissed after scoring just 1 run, and Nicholas Pooran also failed to make a significant impact.

    Towards the end of the innings, Mukul Choudhary played a stabilizing knock for LSG, scoring 39 runs.

    For RCB, Rasikh Dar Salam delivered a brilliant bowling performance, claiming 4 wickets, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up 3 wickets.

    Kohli and the Middle Order Make the Chase Look Easy

    Chasing a target of 147 runs, RCB got off to a somewhat slow start; however, Virat Kohli played a magnificent innings of 49 runs, keeping the match firmly under control.

    Apart from him, Captain Rajat Patidar scored 27 runs, and Jitesh Sharma played a quickfire innings of 23 runs.

    For LSG, Prince Yadav took 3 wickets and Avesh Khan claimed 2 wickets, but the remaining bowlers failed to make much of an impact.

    In the end, Tim David and Romario Shepherd scored an unbeaten 14 runs each to guide the team to victory.

    By winning this match by 5 wickets, RCB has strengthened its position on the points table.
