In the 67th match of IPL 2026, Sunrisers Hyderabad unleashed such a batting storm that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team found themselves completely overwhelmed and under immense pressure.

Playing at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, SRH batted first and smashed a massive 255 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

In response, the RCB team could only manage to score 200 runs, ultimately losing the match by a margin of 55 runs.

Abhishek Sharma got off to an aggressive start right from the word go, blasting 56 runs off just 22 balls.

Following him, Ishan Kishan played shots to every corner of the ground, crafting a magnificent innings of 79 runs off 46 balls.

Meanwhile, Heinrich Klaasen also wreaked havoc on the RCB bowlers, scoring 51 runs off just 24 deliveries.

SRH’s batting was so blistering that not a single RCB bowler could make an impact. Both Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood conceded over 50 runs each.

Although Rasikh Dar Salam did manage to claim two wickets, he too ended up conceding 52 runs.

In the final overs, Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 29 runs off 12 balls, propelling the total score to 255. The Hyderabad team maintained a run rate of over 12 throughout the entire match, making it nearly impossible for RCB to stage a comeback.

Chasing the mammoth target of 255 runs, RCB suffered early setbacks. Virat Kohli was dismissed after scoring just 15 runs, while Devdutt Padikkal also failed to stay at the crease for very long.

RCB captain Rajat Patidar played an innings of 56 runs, and Krunal Pandya scored an unbeaten 41; however, the required run rate continued to climb steadily. By the final overs, the team had drifted far out of contention in the match.

For SRH, Ishan Malinga delivered a brilliant bowling performance, claiming two wickets. Sakib Hussain and Travis Head also picked up one wicket each.

With this emphatic victory, Hyderabad made a powerful statement of their strength in IPL 2026, while both RCB’s bowling and opening batting came under scrutiny.
