Kolkata Knight Riders tried their best to bring in veteran batsman KL Rahul, but Delhi Capitals rejected all three of their trade offers.
Rahul was Delhi’s leading run-scorer last season, but now it appears he may be headed to the IPL auction.

KKR’s Three Trade Plans Failed
Kolkata first offered to directly swap Sunil Narine for Rahul. Delhi declined. The second plan was the young pair of Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh.
The third offer was for Harshit Rana and Angkrish Raghuvanshi. But Delhi didn’t agree to any of the deals.
KKR wants a change in its leadership. They are looking for a new player to replace Ajinkya Rahane.
Major players won’t be available in the mini-auction, so the focus is on trades. The retention list will be released on November 15th.
Delhi-Samson deal almost confirmed
Delhi Capitals are about to finalize a deal with Rajasthan Royals to acquire Sanju Samson in exchange for Tristan Stubbs and an uncapped player.
“We are in advanced talks with Rajasthan Royals for Sanju Samson,” a Delhi source said.
If Samson comes to Delhi, the team will feature Indian stars like KL Rahul, Sanju Samson, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav.
But how will both wicketkeeper-batsmen fit together in the playing XI? If Samson opens with Abhishek Porel, Rahul will move to the middle order. Or, Porel could be sent down and the two could be placed in the top order.
Rahul’s T20 career is at stake. If the trade fails, he is almost certain to go to the auction. Delhi is reshaping its team.
