Indian cricket fans woke up to some exciting fresh business news today. A major shake-up is reportedly happening behind the scenes very soon. Here’s the full story before the announcement becomes official news. Cricket lovers across India have started discussing this update everywhere online.

A New Financial Giant Enters Indian Cricket
Reports suggest Muthoot Fincorp will soon become the BCCI title sponsor. Times of India journalist Gaurav Gupta broke this news through a social post. He wrote that the deal would run for the next two years.
The Kochi-based financial company is widely known across southern India. This move would mark a fresh chapter for Indian cricket sponsorships. Fans reacted quickly online once the report started spreading everywhere.
Muthoot Fincorp has built strong trust through decades of financial services work. Bringing that brand to cricket could open new doors for the company. Sponsorship deals like this help fund cricket at every level nationwide.
Muthoot Fincorp’s Deal Explained
The sponsorship will reportedly begin with the West Indies ODI series. That three-match series starts in Kochi on September 27 this year. According to reports, the deal stays valid until March 2028.
It would cover both international matches and domestic cricket tournaments. Fans can expect to see new branding on the team jersey. This includes the upcoming white-ball series against the West Indies squad.
This BCCI title sponsor deal is being called ‘Blue Muthoot’ by insiders. The base price reportedly stands near 5 crore rupees per single match. That figure marks a noticeable jump from the previous sponsorship arrangement.
What Changes for Team India Now
India has a packed schedule coming up over the next few months. The team will play West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe soon. Around 10 Tests, 12 ODIs, and 13 T20Is are expected overall.
IDFC First Bank previously held the title sponsorship role before this deal. Dream11 had also sponsored the team during an earlier commercial cycle. Sponsor names keep changing, but cricket’s popularity never really slows down.
The BCCI has not officially confirmed this new sponsorship agreement yet. An official statement is expected before the West Indies series begins. This deal also arrives ahead of the crucial 2027 World Cup buildup.
Cricket boards constantly juggle multiple sponsors across different formats and tournaments. This fresh deal shows how valuable Indian cricket remains for big brands. It also proves that sponsors still see strong long-term value here.
