Harshit Rana & Varun Chakravarthy Suffer Hamstring Injuries
Harshit Rana & Varun Chakravarthy sustained hamstring injuries during the match. Both players were unavailable for the fourth and fifth T20I matches. Injuries occurred during India’s third T20I at Trent Bridge.
Harshit Rana experienced discomfort in his right hamstring area. Medical scans confirmed a Grade 1 hamstring injury there. Varun Chakravarthy suffered discomfort in his left hamstring area. MRI scans revealed a Grade 2 hamstring injury.
Both players reported to the BCCI Centre of Excellence immediately. Rehabilitation is ongoing for both injured fast bowling players now.
Replacement Announcements and Selection Committee Official Approval
Prince Yadav is replacing Harshit Rana in the England ODI squad. Prince Yadav featured in recent T20I cricket series matches there. Ravi Bishnoi is replacing Varun Chakravarthy in the Zimbabwe T20I series. Ravi Bishnoi also featured in the recent T20I matches.
Both replacements previously played against Ireland and England in cricket. The Men’s Selection Committee approved both replacement selections officially today.
