The batting maestro has been absolutely smashing it lately. He just zoomed past everyone to 8,000 T20 runs. Now, Team India selectors want him for Bangladesh T20Is this August.
The Long Road Back
KL Rahul last played T20Is for India in November 2022, in that painful World Cup semifinal against England. He scored just 5 runs.
Selectors then showed him the exit door. His stats looked pretty grim – measly 128 runs across six matches. His strike rate crawled at 120.75, too.
IPL 2025 Changed Everything
But he is making a statement with his turnaround in IPL 2025. He hammered a not-out 112 at Arun Jaitley Stadium last Sunday. The crowd went absolutely bonkers.
