The 64th match of IPL 2025 was played between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
LSG batted first and scored a huge score of 235/2 in 20 overs. Mitchell Marsh played a brilliant innings of 117 runs in 64 balls, while Nicholas Pooran scored an unbeaten 56 runs in 27 balls. But everyone’s eyes were on GT’s batting, especially Shahrukh Khan’s stormy innings!
Shahrukh’s Dhamaka in the 64th Match:
When GT’s innings started, Sai Sudarshan (21), Shubman Gill (35), and Jos Buttler (33) gave a quick start, but the pressure increased due to the quick fall of wickets.
Then came Shahrukh Khan, who played a fiery innings of 50 runs in 22 balls, which included 5 fours and 3 sixes.
His batting kept GT in the race for the huge target of 236 runs. Shahrukh hit a 91-meter six and a four with a brilliant ramp shot off Akash Deep, which made the fans dance. His 86-run partnership with Sherfane Rutherford (38) put LSG on the backfoot.
However, GT were at 185/4 in 16.4 overs, and needed 51 runs from 20 balls. Will O’Rourke brought LSG back into the game by dismissing Rutherford and Rahul Tewatia (2).
Shahrukh’s innings gave GT hope, but the target looked difficult to reach. LSG bowlers, especially O’Rourke (2/26) and Akash Singh (1/29), kept the pressure on.
