    India’s fast bowler Mohammed Siraj surprised everyone with his brilliant bowling in the Oval Test against England, in this match Siraj took 9 wickets for 190 runs, which included three important wickets on the last day.

    Thanks to this explosive performance, Siraj achieved the highest 15th rank of his career in the ICC Test rankings.

    Not only this, he also became the Player of the Match and jumped 12 places in the rankings.

    Siraj said after this victory, “It’s a dream come true to perform like this at The Oval and contribute to India’s historic win.”

    Siraj’s partner Prasidh Krishna was also not behind. He also shone in this Test and reached his career best 59th ranking with four wickets.

    The pair of Siraj and Prasidh created history as they became the second Indian pair after Bishan Bedi and Erapalli Prasanna after 1969 to take four or more wickets in both innings of a Test.

    Indian bowling performance against England

    In this Test against England, India won a thrilling 6-run win and leveled the series 2-2. Siraj’s bowling forced the England batsmen to kneel.

    His rise in the rankings is nothing new, but this time he also surpassed his 16th rank of January 2024.

    At the same time, Prasidh Krishna also won everyone’s heart with his bowling.

    England’s Gus Atkinson and Josh Tongue also jumped in the rankings. Atkinson reached the top 10 for the first time, while Tongue climbed 14 places to number 46.

    Both took 8-8 wickets at the Oval. On the other hand, New Zealand’s Matt Henry took fourth place by taking 9 wickets against Zimbabwe and crossed the 800 rating points mark for the first time.

    In batting, Joe Root secured the top position by scoring his third consecutive century, while Harry Brook returned to second place by scoring 111 runs in 98 balls.

    India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal secured the fifth position with an innings of 118 runs.
