India just finished a thrilling home series with plenty of drama. The runs flowed freely, but some cracks also showed up. Here’s what the team must think about before their next tour.

Why India Face Pressure Before the NZ vs IND T20I Series
India will play five T20Is in New Zealand starting October 22 in Christchurch. Their recent series against the West Indies ended 2-2 after rain stopped the fifth match.
India showed great batting power, yet weaknesses appeared in both batting and bowling. Here are the 3 issues India need to fix before the first ball.
Issue 1. Pace-Bowling All-Rounders Must Step Up
Shivam Dube and Nitish Kumar Reddy give India batting depth and extra seam options. Dube hits powerful shots late in the innings, while Reddy offers another pace choice. India need both men to bowl well much more often this time.
That would reduce the heavy load on the main bowlers. Reddy conceded 19 runs in the last over of the fourth T20I. New Zealand’s conditions often help seam bowling, so these two have a real chance.
Issue 2. The Opening Pair Needs Consistency
Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma can start fast, but they rarely fire together. In the second T20I, Samson made 82 off 41 balls while Abhishek scored 20 off 12. In the third match, Abhishek hit 69 off 30, but Samson made only 3.
In the fourth T20I, Samson struck 56 off 23 balls and Abhishek added 29. India still lost that game by 24 runs at home. If this pattern continues, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi could get a chance at the top.
Issue 3. Bowling Must Be More Disciplined
India’s bowlers struggled against West Indies’ fearless batting in big matches. In the second T20I, India scored 249 for 5, but West Indies chased it in 18.3 overs.
In the fourth match, West Indies hit 247/3, and Shai Hope scored 102 off 50 balls. India replied with 223 but still lost by 24 runs.
Bowlers must keep a steady length and cut down loose balls. They also need better plans for the powerplay, middle overs, and death overs.
Time Is Short for Preparation
India have very little time before the opening T20I on October 22. Solving these 3 issues India need to fix will not be easy. But the team has talented players and a strong squad.
Better planning and clear roles can fix most of these problems. Fans will watch closely to see how quickly India improves.
