Harmanpreet Kaur overtook Belinda Clark by becoming the highest run-scorer in World Cup knockout matches ever. The Indian skipper now has 331 runs in knockouts. She beats Clark’s 330 runs record set before. Harmanpreet Kaur achieved this during the Women’s World Cup 2025 Final against South Africa at DY Patil.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s Knockout Heroics
Harmanpreet destroyed Australia with a 171* in the 2017 World Cup semifinal. She backed it up with 51 in the final against England though India lost that match. Those knocks proved Harmanpreet loves batting when the pressure gets unbearable for most players around her.
In the World Cup 2025, she hammered 89 against Australia in the semifinals by showing she owns them. Today, she scored 20 in the Women’s World Cup 2025 Final by pushing her past Clark’s old mark. Belinda Clark took six knockout innings to score 330 runs during her playing days for Australia.

INDW vs SAW Final Action
Rain delayed the INDW vs SAW final by two hours but thankfully, no overs got cut. South Africa won the toss and bowled first by hoping that the dew would help their chase later tonight. The 45,000 fans at DY Patil Stadium created noise levels that probably reached neighbouring areas.
Both teams desperately want their first World Cup 2025 trophy. This makes this final so special. Shafali Verma and Deepti Sharma batted well to help India post a decent score to defend now.

Harmanpreet’s Legacy Grows
India lost the finals in 2005 and 2017. Those matches still hurts everyone who remembers those days. Beating Belinda Clark’s record means everything but Harmanpreet wants that World Cup 2025 trophy more than anything. Winning today would make her India’s greatest women’s cricketer and nobody could argue against it.
