India defeated the West Indies by 255 runs there. Since he captained only one Test and won. He remained unbeaten as captain in his career. His single victory made him an unbeaten Test captain.
- Krishnamachari Srikkanth
Krishnamachari Srikkanth led India during the 1989 Test series. The series against Pakistan consisted of four Test matches. Sachin Tendulkar made his international Test debut during this tour. All four Test matches ended in draws.
Srikkanth did not captain India in Tests again. His captaincy record therefore remained undefeated in all matches. The draw series protected his unbeaten record as captain. Srikkanth’s leadership during this Pakistan tour was a historic moment.
- Ajinkya Rahane
Ajinkya Rahane captained India in six Test matches. These Test matches happened between 2017 and 2021. India won four of those Test matches under Rahane. The remaining two matches ended in draws. Rahane never lost a Test as captain throughout his tenure.
