The final of the Asia Cup 2025 is set to take place in Dubai, and the match will be between India and Pakistan. But tension is already swirling in the air.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi has openly declared to his players that they will not be harmed if they attack Indian players.
He has also promised security from the Dubai Police. This information has been reported in Pakistani media, and people are surprised to hear this.
The match will be held on September 28 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, where the Indian team led by Suryakumar Yadav will face the Pakistani team led by Salman Ali Agha.
Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Chairman Naqvi has reportedly given his players free hand – do whatever they want, whether during or after the match.
Naqvi’s Controversial Statement
According to Pakistani media, Mohsin Naqvi has clearly ordered the national players to fight the Indian players, and he will handle whatever happens.
But don’t spare anyone. Pakistani journalist Qadir Khawaja quoted Naqvi as saying,
“Do whatever you want, I’ll handle it.”
This statement has caused a sensation in the cricket world. Naqvi, who heads both the PCB and ACC, made these remarks in the name of motivating the players.
On the other hand, analyst Furqan Bhatti said, “The PCB and Pakistani players have decided to beat up Indian players after the match. ICC punishment and security can’t stop us.”
All this suggests a war will break out on the cricket field. The BCCI has yet to issue an official response, but Indian fans are expressing anger on social media.
Background of Rising Tensions
There have already been numerous controversies between India and Pakistan during the Asia Cup 2025. From not shaking hands to gestures, everything has become politically charged.
Naqvi has previously posted several provocative posts against India, such as sharing a video of Cristiano Ronaldo and making a fighter jet gesture. Pakistani players also copied these comments during the match.
Now that the attack announcement has come before the final, security has been tightened. Dubai Police have confirmed that they will exercise extra caution during the match.
Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav has urged the players to focus solely on the game, and everything else will be handled. Salman Ali Agha from the Pakistani side has also expressed his support for the team.
Both teams will field full-strength squads in the final. India boasts stars like Suryakumar and Shubman Gill, while Pakistan boasts players like Salman Ali Agha and Babar Azam. The ACC has deployed extra referees to ensure a fair match.
