    India defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in the second T20I match of the Super Fours of the Asia Cup 2025.

    In this thrilling match played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, India chased down the target of 171 runs in just 18.5 overs.

    Abhishek Sharma’s explosive batting and excellent support from Shubman Gill led India to victory.

    Abhishek Sharma made a splash

    At the start of the match, India won the toss and elected to bowl first. Pakistan scored 171/5 in 20 overs, with Sahibzada Farhan scoring 58 and Faheem Ashraf scoring a quick 20.

    For India, Shivam Dubey took 2 wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya took 1 wicket each. In response, India’s batting performed brilliantly.

    Abhishek Sharma smashed 74 runs off 39 balls, including 6 fours and 5 sixes. Shubman Gill also provided excellent support, scoring 47 runs off 28 balls. The two shared a 105-run partnership for the first wicket.

    Pakistan bowlers were ineffective

    Pakistan’s bowling failed to deliver. Haris Rauf took 2 wickets, but he was expensive, conceding 26 runs.

    Faheem Ashraf and Abrar Ahmed took 1 wicket each, but bowlers like Shaheen Afridi and Sam Ayub were unable to contain the Indian batsmen.

    For India, Tilak Verma remained unbeaten on 30 runs off 19 balls, while Hardik Pandya scored 7 runs to lead the team to victory.

    India won the match by scoring 174/4 in 18.5 overs. With this victory, India further strengthened its position in the Asia Cup 2025. Abhishek Sharma’s aggressive batting and Gill’s composure won the hearts of the fans.

    Pakistan will now hope to bounce back in the next match. This match was a thrilling one, and India won the match.
