Why No Victory Parade After Women’s World Cup 2025 Win
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia is attending ICC meetings in Dubai currently. He can’t finalize any celebration plans until those meetings finish. The women’s team waited years to win this World Cup trophy. They lost finals in 2005 and 2017 heartbreakingly before this.
“Nothing like a victory parade is planned as of now. I’m leaving for Dubai to attend the ICC meeting. Several officials are heading there as well, so once we return, we will plan accordingly,” Saikia said.
Harmanpreet Kaur’s team deserves a proper celebration for ending that drought. India now joins Australia, England, and New Zealand as champions officially. But the victory feels incomplete without any public celebration happening.
