India is celebrating its Women’s World Cup 2025 win for the first time. Another good news comes from Jaipur today. Harmanpreet Kaur is getting a wax statue in Jaipur soon.

She became India’s first woman captain to lift an ICC trophy. The team won the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup on November 2. It was a dream come true for millions of cricket lovers.
A Well-Deserved Recognition at a Historic Location
The Harmanpreet Kaur wax statue will be put up at Jaipur’s Nahargarh Fort. The famous Jaipur Wax Museum chose March 8, 2026 for the launch day. That’s International Women’s Day, which makes this moment even more meaningful.
Anup Srivastava runs the museum and he had great things to say. He thinks Kaur shows courage and discipline like no one else. She’s proved that Indian women can compete and win anywhere globally.
This isn’t just about cricket or one person’s success story. The statue celebrates every woman athlete who works hard for the country.

She’ll Stand Next to Another World Cup Winner
MS Dhoni already has his wax figure at Jaipur’s Nahargarh Fort. He won the men’s ODI World Cup back in 2011 for India. Now the Harmanpreet Kaur wax statue will join him at the museum.
“This is the start. We wanted to break this barrier. And our next plan is to make this a habit. We were waiting for it, and now this moment has come. So many big occasions are coming, and we want to keep improving. This is not the end, just the beginning,” Harmanpreet said after India’s win.
Two World Cup-winning captains in one place sounds pretty amazing. Both of them brought glory to India on cricket’s biggest stage.

How She Performed During the World Cup
Kaur was brilliant in every match of the 2025 tournament. She played all nine games and never took a break. Her bat collected 260 runs throughout the entire competition.
Against England, she smashed 70 runs in a crucial game. That knock showed why she’s such a respected player worldwide. Also, she scored 87 runs against Australia in the semi-final match. She didn’t just captain well, but also delivered with the bat.
The Harmanpreet Kaur wax statue will remind everyone of this achievement. Indian women’s cricket reached new heights because of her leadership.
