Marnus Labuschagne returns to Australian Ashes squad after being dropped earlier. The Aussie batter missed the whole West Indies series. Marnus got dropped after playing like garbage in Tests honestly. But he found his mojo back in first-class cricket lately.

The Australian Ashes Squad announcement has his name on it now. The first Test kicks off November 21-25 in Perth. Marnus ground his way back into the team properly.
How Marnus Labuschagne Lost His Spot and Got It Back
Marnus Labuschagne’s form went off a cliff during the West Indies selection. Selectors gave him the sign which caught everyone off guard. His batting average was going down, and he looked completely greedy for confidence.
But Marnus wasn’t having any of that retirement talk. He went back to Sheffield Shield cricket and started smashing runs everywhere. His domestic performances forced selectors to pick him up again.

The Australian Ashes team needs his experience against England’s quicks badly. Selector George Bailey loved what he saw from his Sheffield Shield comeback.
Who Else Made the Australian Ashes Squad
Jake Weatherald might get his Australian debut in this series. The opener hammered 906 runs in the Sheffield Shield last summer brilliantly. He could open with Usman Khawaja at the top there.
Matt Renshaw and Sam Konstas got left out which hurts them. Steve Smith takes over as skipper while Pat Cummings is out with an injury. Pat Cummins is nursing a dodgy back right now unfortunately.
The pace trio of Boland, Starc, and Hazlewood looks scary good. Brendan Doggett and Sean Abbott sit on standby just in case. Cameron Green’s bowling is under the microscope for fitness checks constantly.
