At the end of the day, South Zone’s score fell to 297 runs for 3 wickets in 81 overs. The rate was 3.67 runs per over, which is decent but it was a day full of entertainment.

In the beginning, Tanmay Agarwal and Narayan Jagadeesan made a great partnership. Tanmay scored 43 runs, but was bowled by Nishant Sindhu in 31.3 overs. The score was 103/1.

Then Devdutt Padikkal came and along with Jagadeesan took the score forward rapidly. Padikkal played a powerful innings of 57 runs, hitting 7 fours.

But in the 69.2 over, Anshul Kamboj got him caught out. After that Mohit Kale came, scored 15 runs but Sindhu took the wicket again in 67.6 overs.

Narayan Jagadeesan was out on 148 runs. He hit 13 fours and 2 sixes in 260 balls. His strike rate was 56.92, but he played well on the pitch and brought the team to a strong position.

Captain Mohammad Azharuddin is also not out after scoring 11 runs. 23 runs were scored in extras, including 14 no balls, this mistake cost the North Zone bowlers dearly.

Among the North Zone bowlers, Nishant Sindhu took 2 wickets, conceded 59 runs in 20 overs. Anshul Kamboj got 1 wicket.

The rest of the bowlers like Yudhvir Singh, Aaqib Nabi, Mayank Dagar stopped the runs but could not take wickets. Sahil Lotra and Ayush Badoni also tried but nothing happened.

South Zone will continue batting tomorrow on Day 2. Will Jagdishan complete his double century? Or will North Zone make a comeback? It will be very interesting to see.
