The final match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 is scheduled to begin at 3 pm today at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.

This battle between the Indian women’s team and South Africa is set to be a thrilling one.

India is the host, so this is a chance to fulfill their dream of winning the World Cup for the first time on home soil. South Africa is also eager to win its first title.

India Women’s Playing XI vs South Africa

Both teams defeated each other in the league stage, but India surprised everyone by chasing down Australia in the semi-finals.

South Africa defeated England to reach the final. There is a possibility of light rain, but there is also a reserve day, so the match will definitely take place.

Smriti has scored 389 runs in the tournament, while Shefali’s aggressive batting is intimidating.

Deepti has taken 17 wickets and will play the role of an all-rounder.

    South Africa’s Probable Playing XI:

    • Laura Wolvaardt (captain)
    • Tazmin Brits

    • Marizanne Kapp
    • Sinalo Jafta (wicketkeeper)

Judging by the pitch report, this is a flat track that produces high-scoring matches. 340 runs were scored in the India vs. New Zealand match, so the batsmen will have a good time. The pacers will get bounce initially, and the spinners will do well later.

The team winning the toss will likely choose to bowl first, as dew is likely in the evening.

Weather update: 27°C, light fog and 79% cloud cover, wind 15 kmph. Light rain is possible in the evening, but the DLS method will work.

Fans can watch on Star Sports or live streaming on Jio Hotstar.

This final will crown a new champion, as there are no Australia, England, or New Zealand.

India’s women are poised to make history at home, and South Africa will be no slouch, so it will be interesting to see who will prevail.
