In the fifth match of IPL 2025, Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 11 runs to register their first win of the season.

Thanks to Shreyas Iyer’s explosive innings of 97 runs and Shashank Singh’s 44* runs, Punjab scored a huge score of 243/5.
In response, Gujarat scored 232/5, but in the end, Punjab’s bowlers turned the match in favor of their team.

Gujarat Titans innings – Sai Sudarshan and Butler struggle
Gujarat had a strong start while chasing the target, where Sai Sudarshan (74) and Shubman Gill (33) gave the team a quick start.
In the middle order Josh Butler (54) and Sherfane Rutherford (46) made a great effort, but Gujarat needed big shots in the last overs, which they could not hit.
In the end, Gujarat’s team could only reach 232/5 and lost the match by 11 runs.

Decisive Moment of the Match
Gujarat were in a strong position when Sai Sudarshan and Josh Butler were at the crease.
But Arshdeep Singh almost sealed Punjab’s win by dismissing Sherfane Rutherford in the 19th over.
Gujarat needed 18 runs in the last over but they could only score 6 runs.
