After battling injury and fitness challenges in the last few months, Shami now looks fully fit and ready.
According to recent reports, Mohammed Shami is not only set to travel to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy but he is also preparing to strengthen the Indian bowling attack along with Jasprit Bumrah.
His return is a big relief for Indian cricket fans as Shami’s bowling has always been a big challenge for opposition teams.

Shami’s fitness and preparation
He has lost almost six kilograms and played seven T20 matches in just 13 days. All this shows that Shami is paying a lot of attention to his body and fitness.
From November 2023, Shami took a new turn in his career. After returning to the Ranji Trophy, he played seven consecutive Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy matches against Punjab, Hyderabad, Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Bihar and Rajasthan. The most important thing is that in all these matches, he did not face any kind of problem in his body.
Now Shami is all set to travel to Australia. His kit has already been shipped to Australia and he looks forward to showing his magic in Test cricket by teaming up with Jasprit Bumrah at the Melbourne Cricket Ground soon. The National Cricket Academy (NCA) medical team is also evaluating his fitness.
Shami will take the field for his team in the preliminary quarter-finals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Chandigarh in Bengaluru on December 9. After this match, Dr Nitin Patel and Nishant Bordoloi will evaluate him.
