The third ODI between India and Australia is going great guns at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Australia won the toss and batted first, but were bowled out for 236 in 46.4 overs.

India’s fielding was superb, and Virat Kohli was the biggest name in this.
In the 23rd over, Matthew Short hit a sweep shot off Washington Sundar’s bowling. The ball soared in the air that Virat, standing at short mid-wicket, took a brilliant catch with a nimble dive.
Short was out for 30, and the stadium erupted in chants of “Kohli, Kohli!” The catch was so spectacular that even the commentators were left screaming!
Virat Kohli Catch Today became a game-changer
This catch by Virat was not just a dismissal, but a turning point in the match. With this catch, Virat completed 163 ODI catches, more than Ricky Ponting. He also broke the record for a non-wicketkeeper against Australia.
Harshit Rana took four wickets, with Kohli taking another catch (Cooper Connolly). India’s fielding was top-notch – Rohit Sharma also took two catches. Australia’s batting saw Matt Renshaw (56) and Mitchell Marsh (41) score runs, but the rest of the batsmen failed.
Washington Sundar and Harshit Rana together took six wickets, and Kuldeep Yadav also bowled tightly.
India’s chase: Rohit-Virat partnership strong
India is now chasing 237. The score is 163/1 in 26.1 overs, meaning 74 runs are needed in 23.5 overs. Rohit Sharma is at the crease with 76 runs, hitting eight fours and two sixes.
Virat Kohli is unbeaten on 46, hitting four boundaries. The two have put together a 94-run partnership.
Shubman Gill was dismissed by Hazlewood for 24. Hazlewood and Starc’s bowling is dangerous, but Rohit and Virat look solid. India is hopeful of winning this match despite trailing 0-2 in the series.
