Bangladesh’s rising fast bowler, Nahid Rana is eagerly anticipating the highly awaited Test series against India. His contributions were vital in Bangladesh’s historic 2-0 series victory, sending a clear message to India not to underestimate him.
Nahid Rana looks prepared for the India series
Nahid Rana has rapidly become a key figure in Bangladesh’s bowling lineup, consistently bowling at speeds exceeding 150 kph. He made headlines during his debut series against Sri Lanka earlier this year, but his success in Pakistan truly highlighted his ability to secure early breakthroughs.
Nahid Rana stated in a video shared by Bangladesh Cricket on X: “Obviously we are well prepared for India series. We have started training. The more we are prepared the better we will be in execution during the matches. India is a good team but the team that plays better cricket will win. We will see when we go there.”
The young pacer has been engaged in intense training sessions as he looks forward to the challenging conditions in India. Known for its diverse and bouncy pitches, the Indian subcontinent can test any bowler but Rana is fully equipped to take on the challenge.
The first Test will take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai where conditions are expected to favor bowlers due to the lively pitch.
Rana’s ability to generate speed and extract bounce could prove crucial for Bangladesh, especially against a formidable Indian batting lineup that includes legends like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
Rana’s rhythm and capacity to clock high speeds have often caught batters off guard, and if he can replicate his recent success in India, he could pose a significant threat to the top order of the hosts in the upcoming Test series, starting on September 19 in Chennai.
