Big Challenges Await the New Coach
Kaushal Silva new head coach role won’t be easy at all right now. Hong Kong recently lost the Asia Pacific Cricket Champions Trophy final to Malaysia. That defeat really hurt the team’s confidence and public support badly.
“Focus will be on instilling a strong work ethic and a winning mentality amongst the senior squad and working to identify and nurture fresh talent for continued growth,” Silva said.
The team plays in Group B during the Asia Cup 2025 alongside much stronger opponents. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will test Hong Kong’s skills and fighting spirit completely. Silva needs to prepare his players for these tough battles ahead.
