    Virat Kohli started training very recently. A private facility in Alibaug is where he’s training for the series. He is working with a former Indian batting coach. The England ODI series is coming soon, with three matches scheduled in July. Let’s understand Kohli’s preparation details.

    Virat Kohli’s Training and Injury Recovery

    Virat Kohli began training after recovery. Hamstring injury caused him problems as he missed the Afghanistan ODI series before. The injury came during the IPL final. Kohli reported to the BCCI Centre of Excellence for a fitness check. Medical clearance granted for training.

    His hamstring injury has recovered well, and he is now available for selection and playing. Training sessions are showing good progress. Virat Kohli is working very hard and regaining the peak match fitness needed. Former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar is coaching him professionally.

    Three ODI matches are coming up against England starting July 14. Second match on July 16. The third match is on July 19. Venues are Birmingham, Cardiff and London hosting the final match. Kohli focused on preparation honestly.

    Virat Kohli’s Excellent IPL Performance

    Virat Kohli played amazingly in IPL 2026. Royal Challengers Bengaluru won their second consecutive IPL title. Scored 675 runs in 16 matches played in total. Average above 56 runs there. Strike rate of 165 runs. Excellent batting performance throughout the season.

    In the IPL final against the Gujarat Titans, Kohli scored an unbeaten 75 from just 42 balls. Match-winning knock for the team. RCB won by 5 wickets. His performance was world-class. Kohli is showing great form there. Fitness improvement is very obvious indeed.

    Recent ODI Form and Upcoming Series

    Virat Kohli’s ODI form is excellent, with 5 fifties in his last 6 ODI innings. In his latest appearance against New Zealand, he scored 124 runs in the match. The series-deciding match performance was very good.

    Jasprit Bumrah returning for England ODIs. This is his first ODI since November 2023. His absence was felt in the team. India had a busy ODI schedule. The Afghanistan series was won 3-0 without Kohli and other stars. Shubman Gill was leading the team there.

    Yashasvi Jaiswal replaced Kohli there. Now Kohli is coming back strong. Bumrah is also returning to the team. Both are very important players always. The England series is a very significant match. India has a busy calendar ahead. West Indies and New Zealand are following the England ODI series matches. Kohli’s fitness is very important now.
